Critical Facilities Technician (Data Centers)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; onsite data center operations

Hourly pay: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control, and building management systems.
• Execute electrical operations, maintenance, energy management, and change-control activities.
• Schedule and oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and contracted maintenance, including third-party contractor work.
• Process maintenance work orders and document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, customer concerns, and other emergencies while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of electrical or mechanical critical facilities experience, or 7+ years as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Electrical or mechanical certifications are preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and extended 12-hour shifts.
• Availability for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
