Maintenance Tech I (Automation and Robotics)

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, record issues in maintenance logs, and document work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Act as an escalation point for lower-level technicians and escalate complex issues to leadership or senior technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events, analyze production delays and spoilage, and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems.
• Support building projects and maintenance work including lighting, doors, furniture, ceilings, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment assembly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of machinery and equipment, with basic proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to troubleshoot inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems.
• Ability to follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash requirements and use PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally, stand for 8–12 hours, work at heights, use ladders, and work overtime or on call as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or an equivalent field.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or current trade certification.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience in a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
