Software Developer (Python/Go)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid with three onsite days per week

What you will do

• Develop solutions for secure compute resource access and system automation.
• Build and support distributed systems and backend services.
• Work with Python or Go, UNIX/Linux systems, SQL, and databases.
• Integrate and maintain REST and SOAP web services and automation tools.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and analyze system performance.
• Collaborate with multiple lines of business in a hybrid enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux systems and distributed systems.
• Experience with backend development, SQL, and database management.
• Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability to work onsite three days per week in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, etcd, or similar caching solutions.
• Experience with Chef, Ruby, Chef recipes, and configuration management.
• Knowledge of AWS, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.
• Familiarity with OAuth and system compliance standards.
