Sr Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design and implement complex algorithms that meet strict timing, resource, interface, performance, and functional requirements.
• Develop, integrate, test, maintain, and support high-performance Java web applications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot highly complex software problems and implement solutions using current technologies.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment operation against specifications.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, support new hardware, and improve performance.
• Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to define software requirements and project constraints.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10 years of demonstrated experience designing, developing, fielding, and sustaining Java-based web applications.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Perl, web application technologies, and multi-tier architectures.
• Experience with web, API, and database tiers; Windows and Unix systems; IIS web servers; load balancers; networking; and systems integration.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification and a baseline certification such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent required upon hire.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ASP, PHP, React, NiFi, XML, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ColdFusion, CFML, CFScript, Sencha, Python, and Windows Server 2016 or later.
• Experience writing and reviewing SOPs, process documents, CONOPS, and other technical documentation.
• Experience creating graphics and multimedia using Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, or ActionScript.
