Senior Vice President, Defense & Industrial Base Services (Bioindustrial Manufacturing)

Location: Minneapolis, MN; hybrid workplace. U.S. citizenship is required, and the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance.

Salary: $275,000–$425,000 per year, plus a discretionary incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the Defense and Industrial Base Services strategy, business plans, operating priorities, and resource allocation.
• Lead the DIBS organization and leadership team, including organizational design, staffing, performance expectations, and operating decisions.
• Build federal and commercial customer relationships, develop the business pipeline, and lead proposals, pricing, and capture activities.
• Oversee delivery across the DIBS portfolio, including customer commitments, quality, financial performance, project planning, and program evaluation.
• Connect government demand for bio-based products with member capabilities and mature technologies toward manufacturing and adoption.
• Contribute to executive-level strategy and strengthen hirify.global’s membership ecosystem, partnerships, and workforce development activities.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in a customer-facing business, operating unit, or portfolio with responsibility for strategy, growth, financial performance, and delivery.
• Experience formulating and executing financial strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and operational targets.
• Track record of building customer relationships and converting customer needs into funded work, services, or partnerships.
• Experience with government acquisition, procurement, financial assistance instruments, and proposal development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, developing senior leaders, and creating a culture of accountability and execution.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience serving federal or defense customers.
• Experience in industrial biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, or another technology-intensive sector.
• Familiarity with technology transition, government contracting, or public-private partnerships.
