Business Developer (Contract Logistics)

Location: Port Klang, Malaysia; office-based with flexibility to work from home

What you will do

• Source, negotiate, and develop warehousing and logistics partnerships.
• Lead commercial activities, tenders, agreements, and cost-optimisation initiatives.
• Manage a portfolio of external logistics service providers and oversee implementation of new solutions.
• Drive day-to-day performance against cost, quality, lead-time, and capacity-utilisation KPIs.
• Develop annual action plans and continuous-improvement initiatives focused on innovation, sustainability, and scalable capacity.
• Monitor market trends, cost drivers, legal frameworks, IWAY standards, and Supply Chain Security requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience and a university degree in logistics, economics, or business administration.
• Strong knowledge of contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, and supply-chain cost structures.
• Experience optimising supply-chain costs, negotiating agreements, and using data and finance to drive decisions.
• Knowledge of legal aspects of logistics and warehousing agreements.
• Excellent presentation, communication, stakeholder-management, and organisational skills.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.
