Advance Packaging Material Supply Chain Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Hybrid work model with on-site work at assigned hirify.global sites in Tokyo, Japan, or Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Analyze supply chain systems, identify gaps, perform root cause analyses, and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with Technology Development, Package Design, Factory Module, quality, and supply chain teams on material sourcing and manufacturing support.
• Develop material inspection methodologies and address variability affecting operational capability, quality, reliability, yield, and cost.
• Assess supply chain risks and lead alternate sourcing strategies for single-sourced commodities.
• Define KPIs, monitor supplier performance, and lead corrective actions and supplier quality excursion resolution.
• Support long-range product planning and evaluate emerging technologies, manufacturing capabilities, and market demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Science, Material Science, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Proficient English and fluent Japanese.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, and database management systems.
• Expertise in semiconductor supply chain processes, technical documentation, supplier performance improvement, and quality methodologies including FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence at an assigned hirify.global site in Japan or Malaysia.

Nice to have

• PhD in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• SQL query writing, JMP, and JSL scripting experience.
• Experience managing high-impact projects and negotiating with suppliers in high-tech manufacturing.
• Familiarity with hirify.global factory operations, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
