Director, Workplace Services (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Remote, United States. Regular travel to current or future NuScale sites is expected, including international, national, and local travel.

Target pay range: $165,576–$199,833 annually. Full pay range: $148,447–$232,188 annually.

What you will do

• Lead facilities operations, maintenance, workplace services, and building management while maintaining safety, environmental, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the leased real estate portfolio, including leases, acquisitions, renewals, dispositions, and facilities-related capital assets.
• Develop space plans, facility forecasts, and workplace strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee construction, renovation, capital improvement, and other facility projects across multiple locations.
• Manage budgets, expense forecasts, cost-saving initiatives, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service-level performance.
• Lead office operations and workplace services staff, including reception, visitor management, employee services, meeting and event support, business continuity, and facility risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field.
• CFM or equivalent professional certification.
• Ten or more years of workplace operations experience, including leased facility management, workplace operations, and strategic planning.
• At least five years of experience managing a multi-location team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects at multiple facilities simultaneously.
• Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
• Strong business acumen, problem-solving, communication, planning, organizing, integrity, adaptability, dependability, team-building, safety culture, and quality assurance competencies.
• Ability to understand and communicate clearly by phone, in person, and using computers; learn new functions and concepts quickly; and perform regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and office-equipment use.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
