Senior Full Stack Engineer (SmartCenter Modules)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack capabilities across SmartCenter modules for center administration, family and child records, account management, reporting, operational tools, and integrations.
• Develop Python backend services, APIs, business logic, task processing, and asynchronous workflows within established application patterns.
• Build and improve web application experiences using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the existing frontend stack.
• Translate product and operational needs into technical plans, make pragmatic architecture and technical-debt decisions, and collaborate with product, design, QA, support, and other stakeholders.
• Apply HIPAA, CCPA, privacy, security, data-integrity, authorization, auditability, and retention requirements to engineering solutions.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic development workflows across planning, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and release readiness while maintaining human accountability.

Requirements

• 5–15+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior-level contributions to enterprise products or services.
• Strong Python backend development experience, including API design, domain modeling, data validation, error handling, and testing.
• Experience with web applications, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern or legacy frontend frameworks.
• Experience with modular enterprise applications, relational or NoSQL data modeling, transactions, queues, asynchronous processing, and idempotent workflows.
• Strong judgment regarding authorization, regulatory compliance, privacy, sensitive data, operational risk, and data integrity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, review code constructively, explain technical tradeoffs, and improve existing systems without unnecessary rewrites.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted software development, prompt-driven implementation, AI-supported testing and debugging, or agentic development tools.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, App Engine, or Flask.
• Interest in early childhood education and child care center operations.
