Full Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead technical design and implementation for projects powering the @Work platform.
• Build financial product experiences for Instapay, savings, budgeting, earnings, and pay schedules.
• Set architectural standards and maintain code quality, performance, and scalability best practices.
• Partner with product, design, and operations to shape and deliver product strategy.
• Optimize systems for reliability, security, and scalability while balancing rapid delivery with sustainable technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems, high-throughput APIs, or data-intensive services.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills, including backend architecture and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience designing or operating reliable, secure, and high-performance systems.
• Clear communication skills, collaborative working style, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, earned wage access, or regulated consumer finance.
• Familiarity with Node, TypeScript, NestJS, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, and React Native.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
