Full Stack Engineer with a Frontend Focus (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Spain; quarterly trips to Berlin are expected.

What you will do

• Build robust, scalable, and well-tested full-stack product features with a strong frontend focus.
• Shape frontend architecture, backend services, developer tooling, and the in-house Design System.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA specialists, and engineers to deliver platform features.
• Improve developer experience, performance, reliability, and maintainability across the stack.
• Write meaningful unit and end-to-end tests and participate in product discovery, feedback rounds, and design critiques.
• For senior-level scope, guide architecture and performance decisions, evolve the Design System, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building product applications across the stack for senior-level applications, with clear frontend depth.
• Strong TypeScript skills, familiarity with modern frontend frameworks, and the ability to contribute to Node.js backend services.
• Experience with Design Systems; senior applicants should have experience building or maintaining custom Design Systems.
• Familiarity with unit and end-to-end testing, including Vitest, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and commitment to elegant, accessible, and usable interfaces.
• Ability to work in ambiguity, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and turn loosely defined ideas into working software.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or another highly regulated domain.
• Experience with Zod or other form-validation tools.
• Experience working with data visualizations such as tables and charts.

Hiring process

• 30-minute interview with the People team.
• 60-minute Hiring Manager interview focused on product culture, collaboration, ownership, and quality.
• 60-minute technical interview with two engineers, followed by a 45-minute final round with the VP of Engineering.
