Full Stack Engineer, Ruby on Rails (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office work Monday–Thursday and remote work on Friday

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, depending on level

What you will do

• Develop new features, enhancements, and defect fixes across hirify.global software platforms.
• Build web applications with React on the frontend and Ruby on Rails on the backend.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Management on requirements, work-in-progress reviews, and issue resolution.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and peer code reviews within the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to collaborative Agile/Kanban delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• 3+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• 2+ years of frontend and backend test automation experience using RSpec, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of system design, architecture, trade-offs, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and AWS, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
