What you will do

• Define FPGA firmware requirements and specifications and develop designs from concept through production release.
• Design, implement, and debug FPGA firmware for embedded sensing and communication systems involving cameras, sensors, motors, and peripherals.
• Create simulation testbenches, perform timing analysis and closure, and verify FPGA functionality.
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, mechanical, optical, systems engineering, and manufacturing teams on subsystem and system integration.
• Gather board- and system-level requirements and deliver work according to project schedules.
• Create and maintain technical documentation meeting established quality standards.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with complex FPGA firmware designs.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs; Intel/Altera FPGA experience is also relevant.
• Proficiency with Vivado, ModelSim, or equivalent FPGA design and simulation tools.
• Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog and strong knowledge of FPGA timing analysis and timing issue resolution.
• Experience using laboratory equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of PCIe, Aurora, DDR4, 10GbE, SPI, I²C, networking concepts, and Embedded Linux build systems.
