Senior FPGA Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA circuits and systems at the HDL level.
• Develop high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clock domains, and management interfaces.
• Perform testing, validation, and verification throughout the FPGA development lifecycle.
• Use laboratory instruments including digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executives.
• Participate in proposal-writing efforts and collaborate across engineering functions.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work under United States Government Space Technology Export Regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or other protected individual, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• At least 6 years of industry or university research experience designing, analyzing, and implementing FPGA systems at the HDL level.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification using Verilog or VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx Vivado, ModelSim, or comparable tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Aerospace design and qualification experience.
• Worst-case, failure mode and criticality, and reliability analysis.
• Board-level hardware design experience.
• Familiarity with communications systems and digital signal processing.
