Principal Solutions Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, with a permanent requirement to be based in a major U.S. city. San Francisco candidates work hybrid from the SOMA office 2–3 days per week. Travel is expected up to 30% of the time.

Compensation: $204,000–$300,000 OTE, depending on location tier, experience, and scope. Equity is offered to all full-time employees.

What you will do

• Own the technical layer of strategic enterprise deals from discovery through close in partnership with Account Executives and Customer Success.
• Run tailored hirify.global Optimize demonstrations, lead proof-of-concept planning, and design solutions tied to measurable customer outcomes.
• Analyze customer workflows and build ROI narratives based on time savings, cost avoidance, and operational impact.
• Lead technical validation and security workstreams while removing technical roadblocks for executive and technical stakeholders.
• Bring customer evidence and product needs to Product, Sales, and AI/ML Engineering teams.
• Create repeatable pre-sales assets, playbooks, and technical guidance for complex enterprise deals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Account Management, or a comparable pre-sales technical role at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Experience managing complex deal cycles with strategic enterprise accounts.
• Strong AI fluency, including LLM architecture, prompt design, model behavior, and AI output quality.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical context for AI/ML Engineering teams and explain workflow data processing clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with enterprise workflows and tools such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or SAP, plus the ability to build executive trust and communicate business outcomes.
• Permanent residence in a major U.S. city is required; San Francisco employees must attend the office 2–3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with process mining, workflow intelligence, or operational analytics tools.
• Experience working inside an AI/ML product team or deploying AI-powered products for enterprises.
• Experience in a founding or first-of-its-kind role at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI security reviews, model governance, or responsible AI practices.
