Building Engineer (Facilities Management)

Location: Makati City, National Capital Region, Philippines; on-site

What you will do

• Monitor, maintain, inspect, and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, control, HVAC, and roofing systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to extend the service life of building machinery and systems.
• Maintain energy management programs and ensure building systems operate efficiently.
• Verify that fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems operate within design capabilities and meet client-defined environmental conditions.
• Follow building codes, safety regulations, hazardous-material procedures, and company directives.
• Provide technical guidance, coach colleagues, explain complex information, and help build agreement across teams.

Requirements

• Licensed electrical or mechanical engineer with 1–2 years of relevant facilities management experience.
• Ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 lb or more.
• Ability to analyze information from multiple sources and exercise sound judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, inquisitive, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
