Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Joliet, Illinois, United States; onsite role with on-call availability for after-hours and weekend emergencies.

Hourly salary range: $32.60–$37.40 USD.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance, and repairs for building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Keep building systems operating efficiently and support client and property safety.
• Respond to client requests, prioritize work orders, complete assigned work, and follow up on outcomes.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency requests when on call.
• Use a company-provided fleet vehicle to support maintenance activities.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in building or property maintenance or engineering.
• CFC certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Working knowledge of HVAC maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and a clear motor vehicle record.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Licenses required by the building or jurisdiction.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
