Building Engineer

Location: United States; 100% in-office during standard business hours. Remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Respond to tenant service requests, including temperature issues, plumbing problems, lighting repairs, emergencies, and system outages.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions, replace fixtures and filters, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Maintain inspection and equipment performance records and identify property deficiencies.
• Oversee contractors as needed and collaborate with tenants, property managers, senior engineers, and technicians.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, participate in safety audits, and support emergency and severe-weather recovery efforts.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or equivalent certification or trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required under applicable local, state, or national regulations.
• Developing knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, including BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, laptops, phones, work-order systems, email, and training platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
