Senior Software Engineer (iGaming)

What you will do

• Build and maintain account services supporting customer sign-up, onboarding, account management, and protection across hirify.global products.
• Design and develop distributed, scalable, and highly available backend systems and APIs.
• Write simple, maintainable, tested code using appropriate design approaches and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, planning, support ticket reviews, and technical improvements.
• Resolve root causes of complex problems and improve software reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in on-call support, interviewing, and training other software engineers.

Requirements

• Experience developing scalable backend systems and APIs with Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, relational and non-relational databases, messaging queues, and concurrency.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and production API and service release practices.
• Understanding of containers, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code, including Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience with testing concepts, test tools, and integrating testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Strong ownership, communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
