Senior Manager of Credentialing and Payer Operations (Healthcare)

Location: Fully remote within the U.S.

Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Turn payer requirements, enrollment rules, and credentialing standards into documented, repeatable operating processes.
• Lead and develop U.S.-based and international credentialing and payer operations specialists.
• Design scalable workflows, systems, and data architecture for provider data management, licensing, and credentialing.
• Use AI tools and automation to reduce manual operational work in partnership with Engineering and Product.
• Manage vendor and key payer relationships, including service-level expectations and escalations.
• Partner with Growth, Revenue Cycle Management, and Payer Strategy to resolve root-cause operational issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of operational experience in high-growth or high-complexity environments.
• Ability to simplify complex processes, build scalable systems, and distinguish durable solutions from temporary fixes.
• Experience leading people through clear expectations, feedback, delegation, and hands-on support.
• Hands-on use of AI to solve operational problems and strong data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate operational complexity to Engineering, Finance, and executive stakeholders.
• Must be able to work remotely within the U.S.

Nice to have

• Consulting or rapid change management experience.
• Experience in telehealth, multi-state provider networks, or direct payer engagement.
• Experience with Availity and plan-specific payer portals.
• Familiarity with commercial payer requirements, Medicare, Medicaid, NCQA, or CMS standards.
