Associate Credentialing Representative

What you will do

• Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications for providers.
• Contact providers and representatives by phone or in writing to obtain missing information.
• Review applications for completeness, perform credentialing verifications, and load provider information into databases and networks.
• Manage credentialing inventories, reports, projects, audits, and customer requirements.
• Handle complex credentialing issues, investigate interim license actions when required, and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Support projects that streamline, automate, or enhance credentialing functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Experience in provider data management, customer service, or claims.
• Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good written and verbal communication, diplomacy, and professional interaction with provider offices, vendors, internal personnel, accounts, and committees.
• Proficiency with provider files and provider credentialing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with credentialing processes and URAC standards.
• Experience with ULTRA and Dental Provider File systems.
• Experience with customer service inquiry systems or claims processing concepts.
