Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: Anaheim, California, United States

Salary: $152,800–$186,600 per year, plus potential bonus and long-term incentive units.

What you will do

• Lead high-risk, complex, and multidisciplinary electrical engineering projects and develop execution strategies.
• Set resort-wide technical direction, standards, master specifications, and long-range infrastructure plans.
• Provide expert direction on power distribution, protective relaying, coordination, arc-flash mitigation, emergency power, and electrical resiliency.
• Serve as the final technical authority and PE of record for complex electrical designs and submittals.
• Direct root-cause investigations and failure analyses for major outages, equipment failures, and safety incidents.
• Represent the electrical engineering function with senior leaders, regulators, utilities, AHJs, and industry organizations.

Requirements

• Active California Professional Engineer license in good standing is required.
• 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in design, construction, and/or consulting.
• Expert knowledge of the California Electrical Code, IEEE electrical low-voltage guidance, and California Energy Code Title 24.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field, preferably from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects, developing strategy, and guiding engineers and designers.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and lighting design.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering and/or an MBA.
• Participation in NFPA, IEEE, ICC, or other codes-and-standards committees.
• Experience with theme parks, resort hotels, mixed-use facilities, or other complex operating environments.
• Experience with utility interconnection, microgrids, large-scale emergency or standby power, and external regulatory relationships.
