Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Baltimore, MD; Memphis, TN; Bethesda, MD; or Washington, DC, USA. Travel: 10%–20%. Ability to travel is required.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and a U.S.-based benefits package.

What you will do

• Lead power distribution, emergency power, UPS, generator, and electrical resiliency design for new facilities, additions, and renovations.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, studies, and equipment selections for secure, hazardous, and mission-critical facilities.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, existing-system surveys, system sizing, and code compliance research.
• Coordinate electrical distribution and communications infrastructure compartmentalization with security requirements, including ICD 705 where applicable.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, code officials, and mechanical, structural, fire protection, process, communications, and security disciplines.
• Provide construction administration, RFI responses, field-condition validation, QA/QC, project leadership, client relations, and guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 10 years of electrical design experience.
• Knowledge of power distribution, emergency power, electrical resiliency, NEC, NFPA 70/110, hazardous occupancy classifications, and security-related electrical compartmentalization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearance required by assigned programs.

• At least 2 years of project management experience.
