Technical Support Engineer (SQL)

Location: USA - Remote; must be available during Pacific Standard Time hours

Salary: $65,000–$81,000 USD annually base salary, with possible additional bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Provide data analysis, report writing, file management, database auditing, and technical support.
• Monitor daily file feeds for accuracy and timeliness and troubleshoot related client issues.
• Support clients with accounting, legal, tax, regulatory, and software configuration questions.
• Test, document, and escalate product defects and data issues to engineering and product management.
• Collaborate with product and services teams to prioritize work for sprint releases.
• Manage customer cases in Salesforce and create knowledge-base documentation.

Requirements

• Fluent English with strong written, phone, and conversation management skills.
• Availability to work US Pacific Standard Time hours.
• Proficiency with SQL, FTP, data management, and file interfaces.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL-based data analysis, report writing, auditing, and data updates.
• Strong problem-solving, time-management, collaboration, and customer-support skills.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and functions for data analysis.
• Experience with US executive compensation, stock plans, or ESPP industries.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including ASC 718 and FASB standards.
• Salesforce, Jira, and agile methodology experience.
• Certified Equity Professional designation.
