Design Engineer - Front Suspension

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite role

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills

What you will do

• Design and develop suspension products from concept through prototyping and mass production.
• Document design specifications using standard engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional project teams.
• Resolve design issues with internal teams and suppliers.
• Mitigate design risks through analysis and risk-management methods.
• Provide input on design-for-manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in product design or a related engineering field; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with suspension systems or component design is strongly desired.
• Proficiency in statistics, GD&T, FEA, FMEA, and tolerance analysis.
• CAD experience required; Creo Parametric preferred.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including forging, CNC machining and turning, and stamping.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured problem-solving methods such as root-cause analysis, failure investigations, PDCA, and A3 thinking.
• Experience working across cultures and communicating with broad audiences.
