TL;DR
Facilities Management Co-Op (MedTech): Supporting facilities engineering, maintenance, capital projects, and compliance-driven operations at a Cincinnati R&D campus with an accent on AutoCAD documentation, infrastructure systems, GxP records, and sustainability initiatives. Focus on assessing HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, electrical, and building systems, coordinating vendors and contractors, and tracking facility improvement projects.

Location: Onsite at the Cincinnati (Blue Ash) Campus, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The co-op runs from January to July 2027 and requires 40 hours per week.

Pay: $23.50–$52.50 per hour, based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience.

What you will do

  • Support site master planning, facility improvement initiatives, campus planning, space optimization, and infrastructure renewal.
  • Update building drawings, utility maps, and facility documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Assist with capital project planning, execution, tracking, vendor coordination, and contractor oversight.
  • Participate in assessments of HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Support GxP documentation, including change controls, preventive maintenance records, qualification activities, and facility records.
  • Prepare project presentations, document meeting minutes, track action items, and contribute to sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, architecture, construction, management, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, plus strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in engineering, facilities management, maintenance, or construction.
  • Interest in facility systems, sustainability, energy management, or operations.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, or data analytics solutions.
