PCB Designer (All Levels)

Location: Hybrid role in Hawthorne, California, United States

Salary: $140,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Support schematic capture and perform constraint-driven PCB layout for multilayer, high-speed, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Own the Altium component library, creating and maintaining symbols, footprints, 3D models, lifecycle processes, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with responsible, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers to integrate designs and incorporate prototype, test, and manufacturing feedback.
• Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings, stackups, design notes, and DFM/DFA packages for PCB and PCBA manufacturers.
• Maintain Altium templates, project configurations, layout rules, manufacturing packages, and release processes.
• Develop documentation and training for Altium setup, component creation, layout rules, and PCBA release workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with PCB layout, component creation, and library management.
• Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD tools.
• Experience with multilayer stackups, high-speed design, controlled impedance, signal integrity, power distribution, and grounding strategies.
• Experience with IPC standards, configuration management, and manufacturing release workflows is valuable.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Hawthorne, California.

Nice to have

• Experience designing electronics for aerospace, space, or other high-reliability applications.
• IPC Certified Interconnect Designer certification, with CID+ certification as an advantage.
• Experience with rigid-flex, HDI, via-in-pad, blind and buried vias, and environmental requirements such as vibration, thermal, EMI/EMC, and radiation.
• Experience selecting PCB and PCBA contract manufacturers or establishing library governance and release processes.
