Machinist I - Night Shift (CNC)

Location: Sumter, South Carolina, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $20.90–$27.10 per hour, plus a $1.00 night-shift premium for the scheduled night shift.

What you will do

• Set up and operate GM Fanuc robots, machining centers, lathes, induction and direct hardening units, grinders, and saws.
• Set up, calibrate, and use precision measurement equipment, including micrometers, calipers, lasers, height gauges, dial indicators, and specialty gauges.
• Read blueprints, relate blueprint dimensions to CNC programs, and confirm part dimensions against specifications.
• Perform cell-level quality checks, record measurement results, and take responsibility for final product quality.
• Align tooling and fixtures, write recipes for robotic cells, and use programming knowledge to extend tooling life.
• Troubleshoot issues during machine and robot setups and support safe, dependable production.

Requirements

• At least one year of manufacturing, machining, and CNC experience.
• Intermediate blueprint-reading skills and the ability to interpret CNC-related dimensions.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Basic mathematics and trigonometry knowledge, plus an understanding of gauges and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and work overtime, including weekends, when required.
• Must already be eligible to work in the United States; employer-specific visa sponsorship is not available.
