CNC Machinist I - Weekend Shift

Location: Menominee, Michigan, United States; onsite weekend shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Salary: $23.00–$29.90 per hour. Starting pay for the weekend shift is $25.56 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium.

What you will do

• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and other CNC equipment.
• Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Calculate and adjust machining speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth, and cutting angles.
• Enter and edit computerized machine-control data, monitor operations, and correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Measure and verify finished parts and assemblies, replace worn tooling, perform daily preventive maintenance, and collaborate on machining problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma with up to three months of related workplace experience, six months of vocational or technical training, or an equivalent combination.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and comprehension required.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic plant-machinery operating principles.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions, complete work-related documents, and resolve routine problems.
• Ability to follow safety and security procedures.
• Employment visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must not now or in the future require sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Okuma OSP CNC controls.
