CNC Machinist (CNC Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at 6635 Kirkville Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057. Work hours are 6:00 AM–3:30 PM. The role requires compliance with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Salary: $49,557–$78,331 per year. An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply, and alternative shifts may include a shift premium.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, load, and tear down CNC machinery and ancillary equipment.
• Operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders for secondary operations, fixtures, and tooling adjustments.
• Develop, debug, load, verify, and maintain CNC programs for engineering and production.
• Collaborate with process engineers, designers, operators, and programmers to improve manufacturability, cycle times, and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform first-piece inspections, interpret blueprints and production drawings, and maintain quality documentation.
• Complete equipment maintenance checks, manage chips and scrap, and follow safety and export-control procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, machine operating experience, and related metal-machining training.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and production prints.
• Computer literacy and ability to use industry software such as Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is limited to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• Degree or certificate in machine trades education, mechanical technology, or an equivalent field.
