CNC Machinist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Machine components from stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and other materials while maintaining tolerances of 0.0003 inches.
• Read work orders, technical drawings, sketches, layout sheets, and machining instructions.
• Set and maintain machine parameters, preset and resharpen tools, and adapt programs to different machines.
• Inspect completed work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance, report equipment issues and unsafe conditions, and keep the work area orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical school education and machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming, program editing, and operating experience.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and mills, with the ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and previous manual machining experience.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, resolve basic technical problems, manage priorities, and work independently.
• Availability for the Monday–Friday shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
