Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Automation)

Location: Remote - US; based in the Austin, Texas area, with customer-site and office work as required

Base salary: $36.79-$49.78 USD per hour, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Install, modify, test, upgrade, repair, and maintain hardware and software for automation equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with customers, present service updates, and participate in operational and status meetings.
• Train customer and Brooks personnel and mentor less experienced Service Engineers.
• Prepare service reports, project plans, training plans, certification matrices, and process documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, emergency escalations, customer-site work, and on-call assignments.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a technical discipline, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience providing electro-mechanical or electronics technical support and repair services.
• Experience with lasers, sensing devices, robotic positioning circuitry, microelectronics schematics, and digital circuits.
• Proficiency with PCs, Windows, and DOS-based operating systems.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to obtain a valid passport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined or awkward spaces, use personal protective equipment, travel domestically and internationally, and work in cleanroom environments.
