Avionics Battery Technician II, Second Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Onsite second-shift role, Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. PT, with a 50-hour workweek including 10 guaranteed overtime hours.

Hiring range: $28.12–$42.18 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot battery systems using meters, analyzers, and diagnostic software.
• Assemble battery packs, modules, and wiring harnesses from technical drawings and safety protocols.
• Verify charge and discharge performance through capacity tests, load tests, and quality checks.
• Document test results, maintenance actions, and system performance data.
• Replace defective cells, wiring, and components and dispose of hazardous materials properly.

Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical systems, DC power, and basic electronics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with multimeters, load testers, and diagnostic tools.
• Strong attention to detail, safety commitment, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion cells and wire bonding processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with lithium-ion, lead-acid, or advanced energy-storage systems.
• Experience in EV, solar, aerospace, or industrial battery environments.
• Familiarity with battery management systems.
