Avionics Engineering Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite aerospace development and shop-floor work

What you will do

• Support flight operations by troubleshooting electrical and avionics issues during ground testing.
• Design, manufacture, and operate electrical ground support equipment.
• Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for installing or modifying electrical and avionics subsystems.
• Provide real-time engineering liaison support to the shop and resolve documentation and installation issues.
• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems and communicate technical challenges to varied audiences.
• Travel as needed to support departmental activities.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft, or launch vehicle integration.
• Experience integrating aircraft or launch-vehicle electrical power systems and installing aircraft electrical systems.
• Experience creating shop work instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with Siemens Capital Logic/Harness or equivalent wiring-diagram tools, laboratory equipment, 3D CAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Engr Tech II: 3–10 years as a relevant technician or equivalent engineering experience; Sr Engr Tech: 10+ years as a relevant technician or equivalent engineering experience.
• Ability to prioritize independently, adapt to changing priorities, facilitate technical discussions, and communicate clearly.

Nice to have

• Security clearance.
• Experience with Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Curtiss-Wright IADS, LabVIEW, or Jira.
