Vice President, Product Management (Storage)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters. International travel of 25–30%, including Asia-Pacific regions, is required.

Salary: $284,000–$378,700 per year.

What you will do

• Own the integrated product strategy and multi-year roadmap across HDD, SSD, and emerging storage platforms.
• Lead Product Roadmap, Product Marketing, and Product Introduction organizations through senior directors.
• Align R&D, Sales, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and Business units on portfolio priorities and technology investments.
• Build market positioning, go-to-market strategies, customer-facing narratives, and strategic customer engagements.
• Lead demand planning, supply allocation, and executive resolution of allocation conflicts across business units and geographies.
• Set the strategy and governance for long-term agreements with strategic enterprise and cloud customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an MBA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, commercial strategy, or storage technology, including at least 3 years at VP level or above.
• Experience leading senior directors and multifunctional organizations with enterprise-wide accountability.
• Track record of managing the full product lifecycle from roadmap definition through commercial execution, pricing, and customer delivery.
• Deep experience in demand planning, supply allocation, business cases, P&L drivers, and revenue or margin performance.
• Experience negotiating long-term agreements with Tier 1 customers in enterprise or cloud markets and communicating with executives, boards, customers, and media.

Nice to have

• Product management experience with HDD, SSD, NAND, or storage controllers.
• Familiarity with cloud hyperscaler procurement and supply chain structures, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, or Meta.
• Board or advisory experience and experience leading post-merger, post-split, or major business transformation initiatives.
