Staff Product Manager (AI)

Location: 121 River St, Hoboken, New Jersey, United States of America

Annual salary: $132,000–$264,000 in Hoboken. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Own 0-to-1 discovery from problem identification through validation, prototyping, piloting, and scale, pivot, or stop recommendations.
• Plan and conduct customer interviews, concept tests, and independent research, then translate findings into product decisions.
• Frame ambiguous problems with customer needs, hypotheses, success metrics, MVPs, and experiments.
• Create concepts and lightweight prototypes using design and AI-assisted tools.
• Assess desirability, feasibility, viability, market dynamics, and Walmart’s differentiated right to win.
• Partner with Product, Design, UXR, Engineering, Data Science, Strategy, Legal, and senior leaders to develop recommendations.

Requirements

• Must work from the Hoboken, New Jersey location in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related area plus 7 years of product management experience, or 9 years of product management or related experience.
• Strong product management fundamentals and experience in ambiguous 0-to-1 environments.
• Hands-on customer research, structured analytical thinking, hypothesis development, and measurable outcome definition.
• Ability to create lightweight prototypes and proofs of concept using modern AI tools.
• Strong communication and influence skills across cross-functional teams and senior leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience with data, AI/ML, B2B SaaS, or adjacent technologies.
• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related area.
• Experience with consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B or B2C products.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
