Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Salary: $194,000–$233,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing cloud data, real-time events, and network telemetry.
• Design services and architectures, present design decisions to peers, and deliver reliable implementations.
• Own critical features and subsystems across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment and customer usage.
• Operate production systems and improve software supportability, resilience, code quality, and testing.
• Partner with Product Management and stakeholders to refine requirements and solve customer problems.
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• 8+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
• Professional experience with Go and SQL, REST API clients, and a Unix/Linux programming environment.
• API-level experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and delivering containerized services.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge; experience with networking and security controls is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Experience with networking and security controls.
