Process Development Engineer (IBD)

Location: On-site at a manufacturing partner's facility in Beverly, Massachusetts; the position is associated with hirify.global's Waltham, Massachusetts location. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required.

Salary: $91,184–$115,500 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead process and application development using ion beam deposition and etch technologies.
• Develop advanced thin film processes aligned with current and future customer requirements.
• Design experiments, execute process studies, and analyze data.
• Develop and maintain best-known methods for process control, development, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a technical expert for customers and support Sales and Marketing in building technical partnerships and defining tool specifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering on new hardware and equipment upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Process development experience and expertise in vacuum thin film technology.
• Experience with thin film characterization, including four-point probe, stress measurements, ellipsometry, absorption/transmission spectroscopy, XRD/XRR, and depth profiling.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices, module processes, and process integration in logic and/or memory fabrication.
• Self-directed working style, strong communication skills, collaboration, and comfort with ambiguity and change.
• Ability to work on-site in Beverly, Massachusetts and travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
