What you will do

• Install, develop, maintain, and manage process equipment used in photolithography mask manufacturing.
• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and analyze and reduce defects.
• Improve quality, reliability, cost, yield, process capability, productivity, safety, and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical process and defect issues.
• Plan and conduct experiments to characterize processes throughout the development cycle.
• Establish control systems and long-term strategies to optimize and sustain production performance.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant science or engineering field.
• Ability to rapidly analyze complex process issues and identify solution paths.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate with minimal direction.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex data for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• On-site work in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States is required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of photomask manufacturing and process technology.
• Knowledge of design of experiments, process control methodology, and data analysis tools such as JMP and SQL.
• Cleanroom experience and knowledge of SPC or DOE principles.
• At least three months of experience with scientific equipment.
