Director of Operational Excellence (Healthcare Operations)

What you will do

• Design, document, and implement scalable operational processes across multiple business functions.
• Analyze operational gaps and inefficiencies, identify root causes, and develop performance improvements.
• Build cross-functional workflows, process documentation, roles, responsibilities, and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop KPI dashboards, performance reporting, and operational effectiveness metrics.
• Lead cross-functional projects and workstreams, including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and executive reporting.
• Drive change management, policy adoption, training materials, implementation support, and executive recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Consulting experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or equivalent internal strategy and operations experience.
• Strong quantitative analysis, business modeling, project management, and process improvement capabilities.
• Proficiency in KPI development, dashboard reporting, change management, stakeholder management, and process documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree such as an MBA or MHA.
• Healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with Fee-for-Service and Value-Based Care models.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related operational excellence or project management certification.
