Building Engineer (Westchase)

What you will do

• Maintain building systems, equipment, grounds, and related property infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and building automation systems.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operation within design capabilities and required environmental conditions.
• Provide concierge-style service to tenants and internal and external partners.
• Follow applicable building codes, regulations, safety requirements, and company directives.
• Perform contract work such as landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, and snow removal where applicable.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or a related industry preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to use standard industry tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and access roofs, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of energy-saving and sustainability measures.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Relevant city or government licenses and permits, such as a boiler operating permit or state maintenance electrician’s license.
