TL;DR

Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour. The posting also states a rate of $35.00 per hour. Housing assistance or a housing stipend is not provided.

What you will do

  • Test, analyze, design, evaluate, and debug circuits supporting new medical-device products.
  • Contribute to commercialization efforts for next-generation wearable biosensors.
  • Perform prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification.
  • Collect and analyze data to support engineering decisions and hardware testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary electrical and engineering teams on project deliverables.
  • Support testing approaches for releasing Class 2 compliant hardware.

Requirements

  • Current student or new graduate available for the full six-month January–June 2027 assignment in San Francisco.
  • Pursuing or holding a PhD, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and understanding of analog and digital circuits, mathematics, and physics.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with soldering, data acquisition, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and similar equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, technical documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and familiarity with schematic, layout, circuit analysis, or simulation tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Altium, SPICE, or a scripting language such as Python for data analysis and plotting.
