Spacecraft Technician (Propulsion and Harness Integration – Satellites) (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States. This is an onsite role in a satellite manufacturing, integration, and test environment. U.S. work authorization is required, and access to export-controlled technology is limited to U.S. persons.

Salary: $29.75–$35 per hour for Technician I, $35–$42 per hour for Technician II, and $43–$52 per hour for Senior Technician.

What you will do

• Assemble and integrate satellite propulsion components, including tubing, manifolds, valves, regulators, thrusters, tanks, fittings, brackets, and support hardware.
• Route, install, secure, and verify electrical harnesses, connectors, clamps, strain reliefs, and support hardware.
• Perform torque-controlled assembly, leak checks, pressure checks, continuity testing, resistance testing, and functional verification.
• Complete work orders, travelers, inspection records, torque records, serial-number records, photographs, and nonconformance documentation.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Test, and Production teams to troubleshoot issues and support rework.
• Maintain cleanroom, FOD, ESD, contamination-control, safety, and flight-hardware handling standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade school certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in aerospace, satellite, aircraft, automotive, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, assembly procedures, and specifications.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly and electrical harness installation experience.
• Ability to use hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, multimeters, and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment and authorization to work in the United States as a U.S. person.

Nice to have

• Satellite or spacecraft integration experience.
• Experience with propulsion, fluid systems, tubing, fittings, pressure systems, harness routing, connector mating, crimping, soldering, or continuity testing.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality systems, nonconformance processes, flight-hardware traceability, and configuration control.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001 certification.
