Manufacturing Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under space technology export regulations.

What you will do

• Build, repair, and maintain SMT circuit cards and electronics final assemblies.
• Perform electronics assembly operations including component preparation, AOI, X-ray, de-paneling, and soldering.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, diagrams, and parts lists to assemble products accurately.
• Communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
• Support inventory cycle counts, shipping and receiving, preventive maintenance, and additional manufacturing duties.
• Complete quality-control documentation while following safety, ESD, and FOD requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in electronic assembly operations.
• Experience using tools to make or repair parts and products.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, diagrams, and parts lists; distinguish wire colors; and maintain strong hand-eye coordination.
• Familiarity with ESD- and FOD-controlled environments, preventive maintenance, inventory management, and quality-control forms.
• Must meet U.S. Government space technology export-control eligibility requirements.
