Chief of Staff (Trading)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office presence required four times per week

Base salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD per year, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Coordinate strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives across trading and business support teams.
• Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, milestones, dependencies, and escalations.
• Support desk business development, budget planning, cost allocation, vendor management, staffing, and long-range strategic planning.
• Track desk goals and milestones, lead meetings, coordinate action items, and maintain internal communication and knowledge-sharing processes.
• Drive improvements to desk processes, tooling, communication, culture, and operational efficiency in partnership with trading leads.
• Perform daily PnL and support-output reconciliation checks, escalating discrepancies to the relevant support teams.

Requirements

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• At least two years of post-MBA experience in top-tier management consulting or a comparable structured problem-solving environment.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and executives without formal authority.
• Proven ability to own complex cross-functional projects in unstructured and ambiguous environments.
• Strong business, finance, analytics, quantitative, communication, presentation, organizational, and written skills.
• Interest in financial markets and a desire to build expertise in trading.
