Chief of Staff for Engineering (AI)

Location: US Remote; Atlanta, Boston, Florida, New England, New York, or North Carolina. Hybrid role.

Salary: $200,000–$220,000 base salary per year, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with engineering leadership to translate strategic priorities into execution plans, success criteria, and operating mechanisms.
• Own staff meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, organizational planning, leadership offsites, and follow-through on decisions.
• Coordinate complex, multi-team engineering programs and align engineering, product, and go-to-market stakeholders.
• Prepare executive communications, board materials, all-hands content, and cross-functional updates.
• Improve release predictability by tracking scope changes, dependencies, readiness risks, and execution signals.
• Build AI-assisted dashboards and automations connecting Jira, Notion, GitHub, and Slack.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience combining program management, project management, and executive or leadership support.
• Strong executive presence, judgment, communication, and ability to represent leadership credibly.
• Experience driving accountability and coordination across engineering and product teams without direct authority.
• Experience owning QBRs, executive reporting, all-hands content, or organizational planning.
• Familiarity with DORA-style metrics, SLO/SLA thinking, release hygiene, and delivery scorecards.
• Comfort using AI and automation to improve reporting, operating efficiency, and recurring workflows.

Nice to have

• Previous Chief of Staff or engineering leadership experience.
• Experience with security, SaaS, endpoint, platform, or infrastructure-heavy environments.
• Experience supporting globally distributed engineering organizations.
• Technical or program management background transitioning into executive operations.
