Strategic Projects Lead, Managed Services (AI)

Location: United States; remote working is available. The base salary range for this full-time role in San Francisco or New York is $150,000–$200,000 per annum; compensation is negotiable for other states.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex AI projects, from requirements discovery and delivery planning through execution and completion.
• Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate evolving client requirements into project scopes, delivery plans, success criteria, and practical solutions.
• Coordinate Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering to align resources and resolve delivery challenges.
• Track quality, timelines, budgets, profitability, and other delivery metrics while identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop scalable processes, tools, and ways of working for AI project delivery.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience managing complex client projects or programmes, ideally in AI/ML, human data, data services, or another technical environment.
• Understanding of AI technologies and the AI/ML development lifecycle, including data collection, annotation, evaluation, or validation.
• Strong client-facing communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to turn complex or ambiguous requirements into clear execution plans and successful outcomes.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills, including identifying delivery issues and driving solutions.
• Experience managing project KPIs, budgets, profitability, quality, delivery performance, and cross-functional stakeholders.
