Release Manager (GovTech)

Location: Remote; applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work for any U.S. employer, or Canadian citizens and those authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. U.S. visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual salary: $110,000–$140,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the hirify.global Outdoors release schedule in coordination with client, product, operations, engineering, development, and quality assurance teams.
• Plan and deploy hotfixes and scheduled releases, including User Acceptance and production deployments, rollback plans, release reviews, branch tracking, and post-sprint merges.
• Communicate release schedules, status updates, risks, dependencies, configurations, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate release risks while establishing and enforcing change control and release management processes.
• Coordinate the end-to-end incident response lifecycle, validate resolution and closure, and track process metrics.
• Design and administer Jira workflows, issue types, field configurations, permissions, automation rules, integrations, projects, users, roles, and boards.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating software releases across cross-functional product, engineering, operations, development, and QA teams.
• Experience with production deployments, User Acceptance testing, rollback planning, change control, and release risk management.
• Experience managing software incidents and improving incident response processes through operational metrics.
• Experience administering Jira, including workflows, permissions, project configurations, boards, and automation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.
