Technical Consultant (Network Security SASE)

Location: United States; remote workplace with at least 25% travel to client facilities

What you will do

• Configure and deploy SASE/SSE platforms including Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Cisco Secure Access, and Netskope Security Cloud.
• Implement Zero Trust access controls, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, identity integrations, and traffic forwarding through GRE, IPsec, PAC files, and client connectors.
• Execute platform health checks, policy tuning, migration and cutover tasks, rollback procedures, and day-2 operational activities.
• Participate in discovery sessions and design workshops, contributing to high-level and low-level designs, network diagrams, runbooks, and as-built documentation.
• Support SASE and SD-WAN convergence testing and contribute to client Zero Trust maturity roadmaps.
• Lead assigned workstreams, mentor junior consultants, track milestones, and escalate risks or out-of-scope requests.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network security, infrastructure security, or security engineering.
• Production experience configuring at least one SASE/SSE platform: Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Cisco Secure Access, or Netskope Security Cloud.
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, ZTNA, and identity integrations with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML 2.0, and SCIM.
• Familiarity with BGP, OSPF, IPsec, and GRE for implementing architect-designed traffic forwarding.
• Ability to create technical documentation and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel at least 25% and work remotely or on-site at client facilities.

Nice to have

• Professional SASE/SSE certifications such as ZDTA, Palo Alto SSE Engineer, Cisco Secure Cloud Access, or NCCSA.
• CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with a second SASE/SSE platform, CASB and DLP policy tuning, or consulting and managed services.
• Experience supporting hybrid connectivity designs with AWS VPC or Azure VNet.
