Process Integration Development Engineer (Semiconductor Metrology)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to characterize semiconductor processes and improve product performance.
• Develop and qualify materials and equipment against reliability, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and identify process solutions with product and module engineering teams.
• Use big data analysis to identify process weaknesses and manufacturing tool issues.
• Lead new product qualifications and technology transfers to high-volume manufacturing using the Copy Exactly methodology.
• Present process solutions and collaborate with development teams and material suppliers on technology roadmaps and customer issues.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science, physics, materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, optics, chemistry, or a related field; alternatively, a master's degree in one of these fields with 4+ years of engineering industry experience.
• Experience with materials characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, spectroscopy, or other metrology tools.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing fundamentals, including lithography, etching, polishing, chemical and physical reactions, or device physics.
• Experience with statistical or data analysis tools such as MATLAB, JMP, or Excel, and familiarity with design of experiments principles.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with on-site work at the hirify.global site in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Nice to have

• Experience in defect reduction or process integration within semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of statistical process control or advanced process controls.
• Expertise in advanced transistor device structures, architectures, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, SQL, or C++.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
